In another latest foray into the dating app world, Facebook is testing a new speed dating app, Sparked, designed to help you meet potential romantic partners.

What Is Sparked?
Built by the Facebook New Product Experimentation (NPE) team, Sparked markets itself as a video speed dating platform with “kind” people. With no public profiles, swiping, or endless DMs, Sparked is the Facebook response to the growing online dating fatigue.
With a video-centered approach, Sparked users are matched by Facebook and start with four-minute video call dates. If users feel a spark, they can choose to extend the call for another ten minutes or connect outside Sparked on social media sites such as Facebook or Instagram.
How to Sign up for Facebook’s Sparked App
With Sparked still in its beta testing phase, there are currently no options to download it on either iOS or Android. However, there is already a dedicated Sparked website where Facebook users from the United States can sign up to its waitlist.
To sign up, connect your Facebook account. Then, fill out your dating preferences. Once confirmed, you should receive a reminder about the expectations for people using the dating service.
Sparked emphasizes being kind. Hopefully, this encourages more connection and meaningful conversations, instead of just judging a person by their profile. Sparked also gives you the option to be SMS-notified when the service is finally available.
